About us

Civoryx is the Global Fraud Index.

We track how fraud attention shifts across the internet.

The Civoryx Scam Trend Score aggregates month-over-month search volume changes across 150+ fraud-related keywords, weighted by volume — producing a single, transparent signal of where scam activity is trending.

No opinions. No speculation. Just data.

Why it exists. Fraud evolves faster than headlines can follow. By the time a scam type makes the news, it’s already peaked. Civoryx was built to surface those shifts early — giving researchers, journalists, businesses, and everyday users a real-time lens into what the world is searching for when it comes to fraud.

How it works. We monitor a curated index of 150 fraud-related search terms, track their month-over-month velocity, and weight them by absolute search volume. The result is the Scam Trend Score — a composite metric that rises when fraud-related search interest accelerates and falls when it cools.

Who it’s for. Anyone who needs to understand the fraud landscape — from compliance teams and cybersecurity professionals to consumers who want to stay ahead of emerging scams. Civoryx is free, public, and always will be.

What We Don’t Track

Civoryx does not track individual users, private messages, dark web transactions, or personal data of any kind. We analyze aggregated search trend data only. That means no surveillance, no scraping private communities, and no behavioral profiling. Civoryx measures attention — not people. The signal reflects collective curiosity and concern, not confirmed fraud incidents.

What the Score Is — and Isn’t

The Scam Trend Score is not a crime rate, not a victim count, and not a financial loss estimate. It does not measure how much money scammers made, how many scams occurred, or which scam is “most dangerous.”

It measures acceleration of attention. A rising score signals growing public search interest in fraud-related topics — often an early indicator of emerging narratives or awareness spikes.

Our Methodology Principles

Civoryx is built on three commitments:

  • Transparency — The keyword index is curated and version-controlled. Changes are documented.
  • Consistency — Weighting methodology is fixed to prevent retroactive manipulation of historical scores.
  • Independence — Civoryx does not sell influence over rankings, keyword inclusion, or trend weighting.

The goal is to create a stable, longitudinal fraud attention index that researchers can rely on year after year.
